About Me - Samantha MacNally
We all have a passion. Crochet is mine! From an early age, I decided to master my craft.
And I’ve been learning ever since. Now (thanks to my working career in corporate communications) I have a lifetime of communication skills and crochet experience plus the qualifications to teach you this beautiful craft via zoom.
I am one of the only fully accredited, and certified crochet teachers who graduated with the 2021 Australian Crochet Guild’s teacher training certification. I am also a member of the Crochet Guild of America.
I live in Sydney's North Shore and am the mum of three kids aged 10, 11 and 14. For years I have held senior roles in the fields of Media, Government Relations, Community Engagement and Corporate Communications.
I left my corporate career after the first COVID 19 lockdown to follow my creative passion for crochet and designing wearable crochet items. And here I am - now teaching crochet!
My particular crochet interest is in designing and making contemporary wearable crochet items – though I love a beautiful afghan or blanket and have made one for each of my children and my own mother.
My goal is to eventually host a television show that focusses on crochet – much like MasterChef does for cooking – and to be the Australian version of French crochet designer Sophie Digard.
